The short uses layered thermal construction with a brushed insulating interior, made up in soft midweight cotton-blend jersey with a broken-in surface, finished with quilted channel stitching and a brushed inner collar, and given a narrow ribbed insert where the garment needs to give. Everything else is kept quiet: trims in a soft off-white that lifts the body colour slightly. It is cut on a men's block, straighter through the hip with a longer back rise, so you get chafe-free mileage and heat that leaves as fast as it builds. Simple, and very hard to improve on.
