The short uses ultralight airy construction in an open, breathable knit, made up in DWR-treated wind-resistant face fabric with a matte finish, finished with picot-edge trims and a featherweight bound neckline, and given a clean single-needle topstitch line following the main seam. Everything else is kept quiet: internal taping in a contrasting warm grey, just visible at the edges. It is cut on a women's block, shaped through the hip with a higher front rise, so you get range of motion under load without the fabric riding or binding. No break-in period, no fuss.
